Etihad to Launch Direct Flights from Abu Dhabi to Damascus in 2026

Etihad Airways is adding Damascus to its network, with direct flights from Abu Dhabi set to begin on June 12th, 2026.

The new service will operate four times a week (on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays) using the airline’s Airbus A320, which offers eight Business seats and 150 Economy seats. Flights leave Abu Dhabi at 9:15 AM and land in Damascus at 11:30 AM, with return journeys departing at 3:00 PM and arriving back in Abu Dhabi at 7:00 PM.

The route answers growing demand from travellers in the UAE and GCC looking for a direct link to Syria, while also giving Syrians living in the Emirates access to Etihad’s wider global network through Zayed International Airport.
