UAE’s Largest Public Parking Operator Parkin Expands to Egypt

Dubai-listed parking operator Parkin has entered the Egyptian market through a memorandum of understanding with Modon Misr for Asset & Facility Management, Mwasalat Misr and Redcon Properties.

The agreement will see the four parties assess potential smart parking and mobility projects across public parking areas and multi-storey car parks, covering planning, parking policies, demand management and technology-enabled mobility solutions.

Technologies under consideration include automatic number plate recognition, AI-enabled parking cameras, barrierless parking, digital permits and parking management platforms across assets managed by the Egyptian partners.

The companies will also evaluate technical, operational and commercial models suited to the Egyptian market. Parkin said the aim is to improve parking efficiency and customer experience while responding to mobility needs in growing cities and new communities.
