DXB & Al Maktoum to Become World’s Most Accessible Airports by 2035
The 10-year plan will introduce empathy-led design across both airports: from sensory-friendly lounges and quiet zones to improved mobility services, and autism-friendly travel routes.

Dubai Airports has announced an ambitious 10-year strategy to transform Dubai International (DXB) and Al Maktoum International (DWC) into the world’s most accessible and inclusive airports by 2035.
Launched under the pledge 'DXB for All,' the initiative builds on the airport’s earlier campaign, 'We All Meet the World Differently,' and introduces six real-life stories of travellers of determination navigating DXB—from tactile pathways for the visually impaired to sensory-friendly terminals and sign language-trained staff.
In collaboration with partners including Emirates, flydubai, Dubai Police, and dnata, the airports will expand services such as the Assisted Travel Lounge, the Sunflower Lanyard programme, wheelchair assistance, hearing loops at over 500 touchpoints, and priority lanes for guests with hidden needs.
