The World's First Two-Level Drift Kart Track is Now Open in Dubai

If your idea of a good time involves tire smoke, sideways karts, and bragging rights over brunch, Dubai has a new obsession for you. No Grip DXB, the world's first two-level drift-karting arena, now open in the Al Ghurair Warehouse Complex in Al Quoz.

The place is built entirely around the art of the drift, with specially designed karts made to slide, spin and skid their way across two storeys of purpose-built track that feels like a stunt playground for adults who grew up playing car videogames and never let go of the dream

Before anyone gets behind the wheel, there's a quick briefing to get you up to speed on the basics of controlled drifting, so whether you're a total beginner or you've already got a need for speed, you'll feel yourself improving almost instantly. You don’t even need a racing licence. Just turn up, get kitted out in a race suit and helmet, and let the karts do the rest.

It's a fully indoor, air-conditioned setup shielding you from the city’s heat. Sessions start from AED 160, and you'll need to be at least 140cm tall to hop in, with no upper age limit in sight. You also have the option to book a private group session if you want the whole track to yourself, which frankly sounds like the ultimate flex for a birthday. Just remember to skip the flip flops; closed-toe shoes are a must.
