Dubai Parks & Resorts to Open New Waterpark Within Months

Dubai Parks and Resorts is adding a new waterpark to its lineup, with the attraction expected to open within the next couple of months.

Dubai Holding Entertainment CEO Fernando Eiroa announced the project during the Rise summit in Dubai, saying it has been designed with the summer season in mind. “It’s specifically for the summer and there is a lot of water around it,” he said.

The announcement comes shortly after Dubai Parks and Resorts reopened following a six-month refurbishment. During the closure, the destination added restaurants, carried out maintenance and refreshed several attractions. Riverland has also added 14 new experiences, including go-karts, bowling and Lamborghini simulators.

Elsewhere in the portfolio, the Real Madrid theme park has been leaning into more hands-on activities, with football challenges designed around family competition.

Eiroa also pointed to Global Village’s attendance, saying the venue now draws an average of nearly 50,000 visitors a day. Its model, he said, is to keep introducing something new each season.

More details on the waterpark, including its name and exact opening date, have yet to be announced.
