Rap of the Week | July 8 – July 14

This instalment of Rap of the Week rounds up some of the region’s most striking releases, from silent drops and unexpected comebacks to experimental detours.

First up is Marwan Pablo, who surprise-released '101', a bonus track tacked onto his album 'EN7RAF'. No promo, no teaser, just a postscript to an already cold and calculated project. The track sees him repeat “أنا لوحدي ع الطريق، ظابط حالي، عايش خيالي” like a mantra.

Meanwhile, Mazin releases 'SOLO', a fresh entry into the Jersey Drill lane. Fast-paced, restless, and layered with dynamic flows, the track captures a tug-of-war between ambition and doubt.

Another standout this week is TURK, who opens the third season of his 'MOSLSL TURK' series with three new tracks. The Cairo-based rapper continues to warp his sound, diving deeper into glitchy, hyper-digital production. 'KHAT EL FA’R' feels like a warning shot, edgy, synthetic, and built for noise cancelling headphones.

Also in the mix this week: Pause’s 'AZUL', 3osman’s 'Ameen', ZiYou’s 'GERENA', and Sanfara’s 'Cop'. Rounding out the list are Ammar Hosny with 'Mgly Elnas' and a confident closer from WalGz with 'Mashi'.
