Saudi Culinary Arts Programme Opens Applications for Second Cohort

Applications have opened for the second edition of Saudi Arabia's Academic Culinary Arts Programme, a 12-month initiative designed to prepare aspiring chefs and hospitality professionals through a combination of classroom learning and practical industry experience.

Launched by the Culinary Arts Commission, the programme aims to support the development of local culinary talent while strengthening the role of gastronomy within Saudi Arabia's cultural and tourism sectors as part of Vision 2030.

The programme is open to applicants aged 18 and above who hold either a high school diploma or a university degree. Applications will remain open until July 31st.

Training will be delivered in partnership with several higher education institutions and specialist academies, including Prince Muqrin University, King Khalid University, the Saudi Academy of Culinary Arts, Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University, Umm Al-Qura University and Batterjee Medical College.

Graduates will receive accredited professional qualifications intended to prepare them for careers across the hospitality and culinary industries.

According to the Culinary Arts Commission, the programme forms part of wider efforts to invest in Saudi talent, expand opportunities within the creative economy and promote the Kingdom's culinary heritage as both a cultural asset and a driver of tourism.

Applications and programme details are available through the commission's online registration portal.
