Saudi Arabia Launches Hajj Health Guide in Eight Languages
It covers heat protection, infection control, food safety, and emergency response across the full pilgrimage journey.
The Ministry of Health has launched the Hajj 1447 Health Awareness Guide in eight languages to support pilgrims with preventive health guidance throughout the pilgrimage.
Issued under the slogan “Hajj in Health,” the guide is designed to accompany pilgrims from pre-travel preparation through to on-ground practices during rituals, outlining measures to maintain safety and well-being.
The material includes guidance on preventing heat exhaustion and heatstroke, reducing the spread of respiratory infections in crowded settings, and maintaining food safety to avoid illness.
It also provides first aid instructions and emergency response steps to follow before professional medical assistance is available.
Additional guidance is tailored for high-priority groups, addressing specific health considerations that may arise during Hajj.
The guide is available in Arabic, English, French, Urdu, Persian, Indonesian, Turkish, and Malay, reflecting the diversity of pilgrims travelling from around the world.
