Parkin Expands Into Sharjah With Aljada Parking Deal
The parking operator will manage up to 9,900 parking spaces under a long-term agreement with Arada.
Parkin, Dubai's public parking operator, has signed a long-term agreement with Arada Developments LLC to manage parking across Aljada in Sharjah, marking the company's first expansion outside Dubai.
Under the agreement, Parkin will serve as the sole parking operator for the mixed-use development, overseeing on-street, off-street and building parking facilities across Aljada's residential, retail and commercial districts.
The rollout will be carried out in phases between 2026 and 2030, with up to 9,900 parking spaces planned. Around 3,500 of these will comprise on- and off-street parking, including approximately 1,400 spaces expected to be operational by the start of the third quarter of 2026. Building parking will account for an estimated 6,400 spaces, with around 400 spaces targeted for completion by the end of the second quarter of 2026. The remaining spaces will be introduced progressively through 2030.
According to Parkin, all parking facilities will be integrated into its smart parking platform, using camera-based vehicle entry and exit alongside automated payments through the company's digital wallet. The unified system will manage on-street, off-street and building parking across the development as the rollout progresses.
Parkin expects to invest between AED 8 million and AED 10 million over the life of the contract, including around AED 3 million during 2026. The company projects total revenue of between AED 40 million and AED 50 million over the agreement's 10-year term, assuming the full deployment of the planned parking spaces.
