Dubai Police Launches National Inspector Role at Dubai Airports
The role targets inspection quality strict compliance and Emirati talent development across airport operations.
Dubai Police has introduced a National Inspector role across airport operations as an additional layer of security oversight, aimed at improving inspection quality and ensuring compliance with aviation regulations.
The role has been implemented at Dubai’s airports to strengthen operational readiness and move beyond routine inspections through risk-based analysis and continuous performance evaluation. Officials said it supports more precise application of security procedures and enhances overall monitoring standards.
The framework aligns with international guidelines set by the International Civil Aviation Organization, particularly its National Inspectors Programme in Aviation Security, which combines technical knowledge with practical auditing and inspection capabilities.
According to Dubai Police, the initiative also establishes a structured career pathway for Emirati professionals, allowing progression from technical and supervisory roles to the National Inspector level. Advancement is based on specialised training, hands-on experience, and the ability to assess risks and ensure compliance with recognised standards.
In coordination with the Dubai Civil Aviation Security Centre, accredited training programmes and workshops have been introduced, covering quality control systems, inspection practices, and operational procedures.
National Inspectors will be responsible for planning and conducting inspections, reviewing processes, verifying compliance, and producing detailed reports to support decision-making. The role is expected to improve consistency in oversight, enhance reliability in inspections, and strengthen accountability across airport security operations.
