Dellaluna & Louvre Abu Dhabi Collab on a Bag for the Venice Biennale
The collaboration will be revealed on May 6th during the Venice Biennale, at an exclusive event at Palazzina Fortuny + Chahan.
Venetian luxury house Dellaluna has partnered with Louvre Abu Dhabi to create the Louvre Abu Dhabi Bag, a piece conceived as an extension of the museum's own narrative – one shaped by shared histories, craftsmanship, and the enduring dialogue between Venice and the Arab world. The bag draws from Arab architectural language, most recognisably the museum's monumental dome – its muted stone‑grey tones, its geometric precision, its celebrated rain of light. Those references merge with Dellaluna's own signature, a pattern inspired by Venetian architecture. Each bag requires more than 150 hours of work, employing leather craftsmanship techniques that have been practised in Venice for a hundred years. That level of labour gives the object its authority. Every detail – the stitching, the finishing, the structural integrity – speaks to precision and permanence. The collaboration will be revealed on May 6th, 2026 during the Venice Biennale, at an exclusive event at Palazzina Fortuny + Chahan.
