Cairo International Book Fair Sets January 2027 Dates

The 58th Cairo International Book Fair will take place from January 20th to February 2nd, 2027 at the Egypt International Exhibitions Centre in the Fifth Settlement, with Qatar serving as Guest of Honour.

Preparations are underway for the fair’s cultural and intellectual programme, including the selection of the main personality of the fair and the personality of the Children’s Book Fair. The Higher Committee will make the final selections.

A unified Cairo International Book Fair app is also expected to launch in December 2026. Planned features include title and publisher searches, interactive maps for locating stands and electronic ticket booking.

The digital system will also support online purchases of publishers’ releases with year-round home delivery. It is being developed in collaboration with e-Finance alongside upgrades to the fair’s technological infrastructure and networks.

First launched in 1969, the Cairo International Book Fair brings together writers, publishers and readers through book sales, literary and intellectual sessions, cultural activities and dedicated children’s programming.
