Registration Opens for 2027 Cairo International Book Fair

Registration has opened for publishing houses seeking to participate in the 58th Cairo International Book Fair, scheduled for January 2027 at Egypt International Exhibitions Center in the Fifth Settlement.

Applications from Egyptian, Arab and foreign publishing houses will be accepted from October 1st to October 31st, 2026 through the fair’s official publishers’ platform, with registration and space booking handled electronically.

The fair is organised by the Egyptian General Book Authority and will be held under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. Preparations for the new edition intensified in September following the formation of the fair’s higher committee, chaired by Dr Abdelaziz Konsowa, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and acting Minister of Culture, with members drawn from the fields of culture, publishing, media and digital transformation.

Current preparations include organisational and technical measures intended to develop services for publishers and visitors, alongside work on the accompanying cultural and artistic programme. All participation applications must be completed through the designated publishers’ platform during the October registration window and in accordance with the fair’s participation rules.
