Applications Open for Mohammed bin Rashid Media Scholarship
The scholarship covers journalism, digital storytelling, and game design programmes for the 2026–2027 academic year.
Applications have opened for the Mohammed bin Rashid Scholarship for Emirati Media Students for the 2026–2027 academic year, offering fully funded study opportunities at the American University in Dubai’s Mohammed Bin Rashid School for Communication.
The programme is intended to support the development of a new generation of Emirati media professionals and strengthen the UAE’s media presence internationally.
Launched under the directives of Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum as part of the Dubai Media Council strategy, the scholarship includes specialised programmes in journalism, digital production and storytelling, and game design and development.
Officials said the initiative focuses on combining technical training with critical thinking and creative skills in response to rapid changes across the media industry and emerging digital formats.
Applications can be submitted through the American University in Dubai website. Required documents include Grade 10, 11, and 12 transcripts, copies of passports and Emirates IDs, and creative portfolios prepared according to submission guidelines.
The deadline for applications is June 30th, 2026.
