Government Scholarship Scheme Targets AI & Policy Skills in UAE

A new government scholarship scheme in the UAE will train public-sector employees in artificial intelligence, economic policy, and data analytics to support decision-making across government entities. The Mohammed bin Rashid Government Scholarships programme is designed to develop specialised expertise through academic tracks focused on analysing global economic shifts and applying advanced technologies to policymaking. The curriculum centres on strengthening analytical capabilities and translating academic knowledge into practical tools for government implementation.
Programmes will be delivered in collaboration with institutions including Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence, New York University Abu Dhabi, Georgetown University, and University of Oxford. These partnerships aim to provide participants with exposure to specialised research and applied learning in areas linked to government priorities.
The first cohort includes Emirati participants from government entities, with programme tracks focusing on economic policy and artificial intelligence. The objective is to support digital transformation efforts and enable more evidence-based policymaking across sectors.
