Parka Bakehouse & Irthi Collab for an Iftar Crafted by Women
An upcoming Ramadan evening brings artisans into the spotlight as handmade heritage and dining combine for a gathering shaped by women keeping regional crafts alive.
A new Ramadan collaboration is set to land at Parka Bakehouse in Aljada, partnering with Irthi Contemporary Crafts Council for a warm, intimate iftar designed around shared tables, tradition, and personal storytelling. The event marks Parka Bakehouse’s first Ramadan experience.
Founded in 2015, Irthi works with women practising traditional crafts across the MENASEA region, supporting their economic and social independence while preserving Emirati cultural heritage through handmade work and community programmes.
For this Ramadan collaboration, the women of Irthi will actively contribute to the iftar experience itself, bringing their craft, heritage, and presence into the evening as guests gather for a community-focused night. The experience is expected to launch soon.
