13 New Mosques Open Across Dubai in AED 162 Million Drive

Thirteen new mosques have opened across Dubai during the first quarter of 2026, adding capacity for more than 10,400 worshippers, according to the Dubai Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department. The projects were delivered at a total cost of AED 162 million and are distributed across newly developed communities, with the aim of meeting demand in expanding residential areas.
The department said the expansion forms part of ongoing efforts to improve access to places of worship as population growth continues across the city.
In addition to the completed mosques, 10 plots have been allocated for future construction across eight areas, including Al Awir 1, Al Khawaneej 2, Nad Al Sheba and Hatta.
The upcoming developments include five mosques and five neighbourhood mosques intended to serve local residents in these locations.
