Saudi Film Rebate Increased to Up to 60% for Productions
The update adds faster cash disbursement and integrated financing through the Cultural Development Fund.
The Saudi Film Commission has increased its film production cash rebate programme to a headline rate of up to 60% of eligible expenditures, up from the previous 40% cap, as part of updated incentives aimed at expanding the Kingdom’s film sector and attracting more international productions.
According to the commission, the revised programme also introduces accelerated disbursement procedures designed to improve cash flow efficiency for production companies operating in Saudi Arabia.
The commission stated that it is working alongside the Cultural Development Fund on an updated financing and disbursement model intended to streamline incentive processing and provide integrated financial support solutions for productions.
Additional evaluation mechanisms are also being introduced under the updated framework to assess the long-term value and sustainability of supported film projects.
