MedFest to Host Acting Workshop With Casting Society of America
The September 11th session at AUC Tahrir will cover self-care, audition preparation and scene work for professional actors based in Egypt.
MedFest will host a professional acting workshop in collaboration with the Casting Society of America on September 11th, 2026 at the American University in Cairo’s Tahrir Square campus.
Titled ‘From Local to Global: Self-Care, Auditioning & Scene Work for Actors’, the session is open to professional Egyptian and Arab actors currently residing in Egypt.
The workshop will focus on three areas: self-care for performers, audition preparation and practice, and scene work. The collaboration with the Casting Society of America will also place the session within professional casting standards and industry practices.
The event forms part of the 8th edition of MedFest, which brings together film, performance and professional development programming.
Eligibility is limited to professional actors living in Egypt.
