Umm Kulthum Museum Free to Enter Throughout December

The Ministry of Culture announced that throughout December 2025, the Umm Kulthum Museum will be open to visitors free of charge — daily except Tuesdays — under the cultural initiative titled 'Farhanin bil-Matḥaf al-Kabir… W Lissa Matḥafat Masr Kteer' ('We’re happy with the Grand Museum… and Egypt still has many museums'). Housed in the historical Manial Palace on Rhoda Island — a 19th-century architectural landmark — the museum preserves and displays personal and artistic artefacts belonging to Umm Kulthum, including her stage outfits, accessories, instruments, rare photos and recordings, and other memorabilia that document her century-long cultural impact. Visitors during December will have the chance to wander through the museum’s different halls: the main exhibition room showcasing personal items, a cinema hall screening documentaries about her life and career, an audiovisual archive of her songs and performances, and a panoramic gallery that traces key moments in her artistic journey.
