UAE Treasury Sukuk Now Available Through Emirates Islamic Mobile App
EI+ unlocks retail access to sukuk from AED 4,000, supporting inclusive national saving.
The Ministry of Finance in the United Arab Emirates has partnered with Emirates Islamic Bank to enable citizens and residents to invest in Treasury Sukuk through the EI + Mobile Banking App, with a minimum subscription of AED 4,000 (USD 1,089). The agreement, the third under the national Retail Sukuk programme, allows investors to purchase fractional Treasury Sukuk via a fully digital process designed to be seamless, secure and compliant.
Through the Emirates Islamic platform, UAE nationals and residents can complete registration online using Emirates ID or UAE PASS, fulfil know-your-customer requirements and create an investor risk profile. Users can access full Treasury Sukuk terms and transaction details within the app. All Treasury Sukuk issued by the Ministry of Finance will be listed on the Emirates Islamic platform, with the bank facilitating subscription and trading via primary allocations or secondary market transactions.
The Ministry said the partnership forms part of wider national efforts to broaden financial inclusion and encourage long-term saving. Emirates Islamic will also enhance investor awareness through educational sessions, dedicated FAQs and regular surveys to support informed decision-making. The initiative expands distribution of government-backed, Sharia-compliant instruments to individual investors through digital channels and supports the development of local capital markets.
