The UAE national karate team has returned from the Asian Championship in Shaoguan, China, with two medals. The event, held from September 5th to the 7th, featured competitors across junior, youth, and under-21 divisions.
Athlete Sheikha Al Yafei secured silver in the girls’ Kumite over 66 kg category for ages 16–17, while Rashid Al Suraidi claimed bronze in the youth under 61 kg division. The team entered the competition with eight athletes competing across different weight classes and disciplines.
