Sheikh Khalifa Medical City Receives Gold Seal Accreditation

Sheikh Khalifa Medical City (SKMC) in Abu Dhabi has been awarded international accreditation for excellence in paediatric cardiology and cardiac surgery. The Gold Seal of Approval for Hospital Accreditation was granted by the Joint Commission International (JCI), a global institution that oversees healthcare quality standards.

SKMC’s paediatric cardiac team provides diagnosis, treatment, and surgical intervention for a wide range of congenital and acquired heart diseases in children. The hospital’s facilities include advanced imaging, catheterisation labs, and dedicated paediatric intensive care units, supporting comprehensive care from diagnosis through recovery.

SKMC is managed by Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (SEHA), which oversees public healthcare facilities in the emirate. The hospital’s paediatric cardiac programme serves patients from across the UAE and the wider region, offering both routine and highly specialised procedures.
