Sharjah Police Introduce Plates for Classic Cars & Motorcycles
Designs follow Sharjah’s approved format, blending modern standards with heritage elements, and will be available through Emirates Auction as part of traffic service updates.
Sharjah Police have introduced new vehicle number plates dedicated to classic cars and motorcycles in the emirate, creating a separate category intended to reflect Sharjah’s cultural identity while enhancing traffic services for collectors and enthusiasts.
The newly issued plates include first-category and private plates for classic cars, as well as first-category plates for motorcycles. According to Sharjah Police, the designs follow the emirate’s approved vehicle plate format, combining contemporary standards with visual elements that preserve the heritage value associated with classic vehicles.
The initiative is aimed at providing more specialised and tailored services for owners of classic cars and motorcycles, while remaining aligned with ongoing updates to vehicle plate designs across Sharjah. Authorities said the move supports both service development and the recognition of classic vehicles as part of the emirate’s cultural landscape.
Sharjah Police confirmed that the new plate numbers will be offered for sale in partnership with Emirates Auction, expanding the range of options available to customers and streamlining the acquisition process.
