Sharjah International Book Fair 2025 Will Host Daily Poetry Nights
The fair – running from November 5th to the 16th – brings together poets from around the world for a 12-day celebration of language, culture, and art.
The 44th Sharjah International Book Fair (SIBF 2025) opens on November 5th and runs through November 16th at Expo Centre Sharjah, with one of its standout features being poetry readings in eight languages: Arabic, Greek, English, Urdu, Punjabi, Malayalam, Russian and Tagalog.
Organised by the Sharjah Book Authority, the event will bring together around 2,350 publishers from 118 countries, along with over 250 authors and creatives representing more than 66 nations, along with over 1,200 activities.
Highlights in the multilingual poetry programme include Greek poet Danae Sioziou, Canadian spoken-word artist Saara Ali, and Malayalam/English writer K. Satchidanandan, among others.
Visitors to SIBF 2025 can expect this expanded poetry initiative alongside interactive workshops, panels, and exhibitions that reflect the fair’s theme “Between You and a Book.”
