Saudi Film Commission Joins Association of Sound & Audiovisual Archive
By becoming a member of IASA, the Commission gains access to cutting-edge archival practices, technologies, and expertise.

The Saudi Film Commission has officially joined the International Association of Sound and Audiovisual Archives (IASA), a global body representing archival institutions in more than 70 countries.
By becoming a member of IASA, the Commission gains access to cutting-edge archival practices, technologies, and expertise. It will collaborate with leading international institutions to develop new archiving projects and exchange technical know-how in areas such as preservation, digitisation, and restoration.
The International Association of Sound and Audiovisual Archives, established in Amsterdam in 1969, facilitates cooperation across a wide range of audiovisual media, including film, sound recordings, oral history, and literary works. Joining IASA aligns with the Saudi Film Commission’s broader aims to strengthen domestic archiving capabilities and safeguard the nation’s cultural legacy.
