Saudi Arabia to Invite 197 Countries to Expo 2030 Riyadh

Saudi Arabia is set to invite 197 countries to participate in Expo 2030 Riyadh, which will take place from October 1st, 2030, to March 31st, 2031, with organisers expecting approximately 42 million visitors over the six-month event.

The announcement was made by Talal Al-Marri, CEO of Expo 2030 Riyadh, during the Future Investment Initiative (FII) in the Saudi capital. The Expo site will cover around six million square metres, supported by major infrastructure developments including the Riyadh Metro, airport expansion, and new urban projects expected to be completed ahead of schedule.

The event will be held under the theme ‘Foresight for Tomorrow’, exploring subthemes of transformational technology, sustainable solutions, and prosperous people. Construction of the Expo site is expected to begin before the end of this year, with plans to transform the location into a permanent innovation and cultural park after the event concludes.
