Saudi Arabia Records 122 Million Visitors in 2025
Preliminary data show visitor numbers rose 5% year on year in 2025, bringing the Kingdom closer to its Vision 2030 targets.
Saudi Arabia recorded an estimated 122 million visitors in 2025, marking a 5% increase year on year, according to preliminary data released by the Ministry of Tourism. Total tourism spending reached approximately $81 billion, up 6% from 2024, as the Kingdom continues to advance towards its revised Vision 2030 target of 150 million annual visitors.
The figures were unveiled during the World Economic Forum 2026. Minister of Tourism Ahmed Al-Khateeb said the latest performance reflects sustained growth across the sector, noting that tourism is now playing a central role in economic diversification and investor confidence. He said the preliminary results indicate that Saudi tourism has moved beyond an emerging phase and is operating as a large-scale growth engine.
In 2024, the Kingdom welcomed 116 million visitors, including 29.7 million inbound tourists, an 8% increase year on year, and 86.2 million domestic trips, up 5% from 2023, according to official statistics released last June. Saudi Arabia surpassed its original Vision 2030 target of 100 million annual visitors six years ahead of schedule in 2023, prompting authorities to raise the goal to 150 million visitors by 2030, comprising 70 million international arrivals and 80 million domestic tourists.
