Saudi Arabia Ranks Second Globally for Humanitarian Aid in 2025

Saudi Arabia ranked second globally and first in the Arab world among donor countries for humanitarian aid in 2025, according to data from the United Nations Financial Tracking Service.

The data shows that Saudi Arabia was the largest humanitarian donor to Yemen in 2025, accounting for 49.3% of total aid directed to the country. The Kingdom also ranked second globally in assistance provided to the Syrian Arab Republic, reflecting a strong focus on crisis-hit neighbouring states.

Separate findings from a 2024 report on developmental assistance ranked Saudi Arabia second among 16 non-member donor countries and tenth globally in total aid volume among 48 donors, including both members and non-members. Aid flows are documented in real time on the Kingdom’s official Saudi aid platform, described as the largest humanitarian aid database in the region.
