Race Through History at Saqqara Half Marathon on February 13th
The Saqqara Pyramid Race returns as the Saqqara Half Marathon, adding a new 21K route through Egypt’s ancient necropolis.
TriFactory is bringing runners back to the Saqqara Pyramids this February with an expanded event now officially titled The Saqqara Half Marathon.
Set for February 13th, 2026, the event marks the race’s fifth edition since it first launched in 2022 as a modest 5K run alongside a 1K family route. Since then, it has grown year on year, drawing nearly 2,000 runners from over 60 nationalities in 2025 alone.
This year, participants can choose between 21K, 10K, and 5K routes, all winding through the historic Saqqara Necropolis. Those taking on the longer distances will run as far as the Abusir Pyramids, adding another layer of history to the experience.
The race will begin and end beneath the 5,000-year-old Pyramid of Saqqara, where the awards ceremony will also take place, turning one of Egypt’s most iconic archaeological sites into a one-day running landmark.
