Tunis' Eddisco to Host Opening Party for New Store Location April 19
Eddisco is regarded as Tunisia's only dedicated record store for vinyl-digging and community building, consistently supporting the country's underground electronic scene.
Tunisian label Eddisco has announced a new location for its famous record store with a full-fledged opening party on April 19th planned. Located at Lecurie, a private cultural venue on rue d’Autriche in the heart of downtown Tunis, the space will host a special night that showcases the label’s extended circle.
Founded in 2018 by Downtown Vibes, the collective of Hamdi Ryder, Aymen Ghanoudi, and Ghassen Yahyaoui, Eddisco has carved out a singular role in the city’s electronic ecosystem. As Tunis’ only dedicated record store of its kind, it operates as an appointment-only hub for vinyl digging, local releases, and community-building, with its shelves housing a rich, eclectic collection of music, from house, techno, hip-hop, jazz, disco, and leftfield Arabic selections. In the process, Eddisco has quickly grown into one of the region’s more forward-facing imprints, balancing a steady output of EPs with a curatorial approach that foregrounds regional talent.
The opening party features vinyl-only sets from established and rising selectors like Cheb Mimo, Idriss, and Rabi, with recordings set for a later release via Room Records. A selection of records will also be available for purchase on-site.
The event has a very limited capacity. To apply for the guest list, DM Eddisco on Instagram.
