Medics impacted by partial disability during the course of their professional practice will now be entitled to EGP 30,000 to 120,000 compensation, based on a cabinet decision approved by Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly.

Employees in the medical sector impacted by total disability or death will receive EGP 150,000 compensation.

This represents a significant increase from the previous compensation allowed to medics, which was previously EGP 100,000 in the case of total disability or death, and EGP 20,000 to 80,000 in the case of partial disability.
