Jeddah Book Fair Brings 1,000 Publishers to Superdome

The Jeddah Book Fair is set to return this weekend, running from December 11th to 20th at Jeddah Superdome. This year’s edition brings together more than 1,000 local and international publishing houses and agencies from over 20 countries, spread across 400 booths.

Organised by the Literature, Publishing & Translation Commission, the fair forms part of the ‘Saudi Reads’ campaign under the slogan ‘Jeddah Reads’, which aims to strengthen the kingdom’s literary sector by encouraging reading and expanding engagement between writers and audiences.

Across its ten-day programme, the fair will host emerging and established authors, cultural figures, and industry professionals from Saudi Arabia and abroad. More than 170 events are scheduled, including lectures, panel discussions, workshops, a manga and anime zone, a dedicated children’s area with educational activities, book-signing sessions, and creative reading competitions.
