Foreign Tourists Spent USD 42.6 Billion in Saudi Arabia in 2025

Foreign tourist spending in Saudi Arabia reached a record SAR 159.86 billion (USD 42.63 billion) in 2025, according to data released by the Saudi Central Bank.

The total marked a 4.07% increase from 2024, when foreign visitors spent SAR 153.61 billion (USD 40.96 billion), representing an annual rise of SAR 6.25 billion (USD 1.67 billion).

Growth accelerated in the fourth quarter of 2025, with foreign tourist spending rising 9.77% year on year to SAR 39.48 billion (USD 10.53 billion), compared with SAR 35.97 billion (USD 9.59 billion) in the same period of 2024.

Despite the increase in inbound tourism spending, the travel balance recorded a surplus of SAR 49.43 billion (USD 13.18 billion) in 2025, slightly lower than the SAR 50.25 billion (USD 13.4 billion) surplus in 2024.

Spending by Saudi residents on travel abroad also increased, reaching approximately SAR 110.42 billion (USD 29.45 billion) in 2025, up 6.84% from SAR 103.36 billion (USD 27.56 billion) the previous year.
