First Hydrogen Arabia Summit Will Be Held in Riyadh
The agenda will also spotlight the Kingdom’s Circular Carbon Economy framework, introduced during its G20 Presidency in 2020
The first Hydrogen Arabia Summit & Exhibition will be held in Riyadh from December 8th to the 9th, 2025 at the Crowne Plaza Riyadh RDC. Organised by RX, the organiser of the World Hydrogen Summit, the event is described by organisers as a new hub for hydrogen and clean energy collaboration, combining a strategic conference with a technology showcase.
The programme will convene senior government officials, global energy executives, investors and innovators to address hydrogen’s role in delivering Vision 2030, achieving Net Zero by 2060, and advancing carbon capture, utilisation and storage. The agenda will also spotlight the Kingdom’s Circular Carbon Economy framework, introduced during its G20 Presidency in 2020, presented as a pathway to reduce emissions while maintaining energy security. Sessions are set to cover investment flows, certification and trade, and the decarbonisation of hard-to-abate sectors.
Speakers are set to include leaders from the International Renewable Energy Agency, ENOWA NEOM, Securing Energy for Europe, Air Liquide, Hy24 and Aramco Ventures. Organisers say the event aims to translate policy and technology dialogues into practical market outcomes. RX described Hydrogen Arabia as a platform for accelerating investment, innovation and long-term energy security.
The summit takes place against a backdrop of energy transition commitments in Saudi Arabia, including over 1 trillion Saudi Riyals (USD 270 billion) for the power sector and 880 billion Saudi Riyals (USD 235 billion) for renewables, as stated in the event announcement. Organisers referenced key projects such as the NEOM green hydrogen initiative and a USD 10 billion Public Investment Fund allocation to hydrogen.
