Electricity Load Reductions Paused for Churches During Easter Holiday
The government has announced halting of electricity load reductions in churches for the Easter celebrations.

During the upcoming Coptic Easter celebrations in Egypt, the office of the Prime Minister has announced that electricity load reductions will be paused across all churches. This comes in collaboration between the Prime Minister’s office and the Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy.
Power cuts across the country resumed as of April 15th, with cuts lasting a maximum of one hour per grid zone between 11 AM and 5 PM. The cuts in electricity were paused for the holy month of Ramadan as well as Eid Al Fitr.
This year, Coptic Easter Sunday will fall on May 5th.
