Eid Al Fitr 2026 Holiday Dates Announced in the UAE

Eid Al Fitr holiday dates for 2026 have been confirmed for both the public and private sectors in the UAE.
The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources announced that public sector employees will be off from March 19th to March 22nd, 2026, with work resuming on March 23rd, 2026. The decision applies to all federal government entities, establishing a four-day break for public employees.
Separately, the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation confirmed that private sector employees will be granted leave from March 19th to March 21st, 2026.
The ministry added that if the holy month of Ramadan completes 30 days, subject to confirmation by the moon-sighting committee on March 18th, 2026, the private sector holiday will be extended to include Sunday, March 22nd, 2026. The extension remains contingent on the official moon-sighting announcement, aligning private sector leave with the confirmed duration of Ramadan.
