Egypt’s Tourism Revenues Rise by 14.7% in Nine Months
Growth attributed to diversification of tourism sectors and infrastructure development, the Cabinet Media Center stated.

Tourism revenues in Egypt increased by 14.7% during the period from July to March of the 2024/2025 fiscal year, according to a statement issued by the Cabinet’s Media Centre. Total tourism revenues reached USD 12.5 billion, compared to USD 10.9 billion during the same period in the previous fiscal year. The Cabinet’s Media Centre specified that this growth followed the implementation of several government initiatives. These included the development of tourism infrastructure and airports, enhancements in the quality of hotel services, and the launch of new promotional campaigns intended to attract visitors from what it described as “more promising markets.” The statement further noted that Egypt broadened its tourism offerings through diversified cultural, beach, and medical tourism programmes. This diversification supported an increase in both the number of tourist nights and the average spending per tourist, according to the Cabinet Media Centre.
