Egypt's Health Hotline Reports 100% Response to 41,777 Calls in 2025

According to an annual report, Egypt’s unified health hotline, 105, handled 41,777 calls in 2025 with a 100% response rate. An analysis categorised the calls into two types, where treatment requests and complains against medical facilities represented 26.5% of all calls, and requests for vaccinations and immunisations accounted for 23.6%.

Additionally, general enquiries made up 12.2% of calls, and miscellaneous complaints constituted 10.9%. Beyond these categories, the hotline addressed integrated services card queries, emergency reports, medical unit enquiries, milk enquiries, placements, licensing, and medical consultations.

The report also indicates an increase in hotline calls in the second half of 2025. December recorded the highest monthly volume with 5,754 calls, followed by September and October, each with more than 5,000 calls. The Ministry of Health and Population describes the hotline service as a gateway to urgent care, and states its intention to continue raising awareness about the service's efficiency for sustained public benefit.
