Jul 25, 2025

In July 2025, Egypt’s diesel imports reached an all-time high of approximately 370,000 barrels of diesel per day. This represents a 35% increase from June 2025, and a 65% increase from July 2024. The last time diesel imports reached this volume was 2016.
The increase in imports comes as Egypt responds to increasing temperatures during the summer, as well as the temporary halt of natural gas supplies from the Levant due to regional conflicts.
