Dubai Square Unveiled as World's First Drive-Through Mall
Dubai Square will allow cars inside and support EVs when it opens within three years.
Dubai Square, a new project by Emaar Properties, has officially been unveiled as part of the larger Dubai Creek Harbour development. The project will span 2.6 million square metres and is planned to open within three years. Set to be the first drive-through mall in the world, Dubai Square has been designed so that visitors can enter and navigate sections of the mall in their own vehicles — a concept that reflects a growing shift toward integrated, mobility-friendly retail environments. The design includes dedicated infrastructure to support electric vehicles. Beyond the drive-through feature, Dubai Square aims to combine retail, dining, entertainment, hospitality and residential components under one roof. The broader masterplan for Dubai Creek Harbour — of which the mall is the centrepiece — includes hotels, residential units and waterfront developments. Construction has already started, with developers emphasising smart infrastructure, EV readiness and a layout designed for both cars and pedestrians. The mall also will connect to the planned Dubai Creek Tower and aims to anchor the broader urban vision for Dubai Creek Harbour.
