Digital Scout Membership Registration System Launched in Egypt
The Ministry of Youth and Sports has begun the first phase of its digital registration system for Scouts and Girl Guides, aiming to register 4 million members as part of its national youth strategy.

The Ministry of Youth and Sports has launched the first phase of a digital registration system for Scouts and Girl Guides as part of the National Strategy for Youth and Sports.
The rollout, led by the Central Administration for Youth Centres through the General Administration for Youth Organisations, is being implemented in cooperation with the Central Administration for Digital Transformation.
The initiative aims to register 4 million Scouts and Girl Guides across Egypt. The first phase targets participants aged 15 and above, as well as leaders from central associations, clubs, youth centres, universities, and civil organisations. Coordination for this stage included Alexandria University and Al-Azhar University to support registration and streamline procedures for youth involved in scouting activities.
According to the ministry, registration rates will be monitored and evaluated across association branches nationwide, with recognition planned for those achieving higher completion rates. The initiative forms part of Minister of Youth and Sports Dr Ashraf Sobhi’s directives to develop the scouting movement in Egypt and advance digital transformation in the youth sector.
