Cairo Metro & LRT Train Eid Al Fitr Operation Hours Announced
All lines will operate longer hours to help people get across the city during the holidays.
Eid Al Fitr operating hours have been announced by the Ministry of Transport ahead of the national holiday. The altered schedule will be in effect from Tuesday, April 9th to Sunday, April 14th, the same dates as the complete national public holiday announced last week, giving people extra time to get across the city over the end-of-Ramadan celebrations.
The schedule for Line One and Two of the metro will begin operating at 5:15 AM, with the last trains for northbound Line One leaving Helwan at 12:15 AM, and the last southbound train leaving New El Marg at 12:30 AM.
On Line Two, the last services from both ends of the route - Shubra Al Khaimah and Al Monib - will depart at 12:40 AM.
Line Three will begin operating at 7:15 AM from both Adly Mansour and Rod El Farag. The last trains will leave the terminals at 11:30 PM and 11:50 PM respectively.
The schedule has also been amended for the LRT, and the timings are as follows: the first service from Adly Mansour will depart at 6:00 AM, with the first train from the Arts and Culture station leaving at 6:05 AM. The last service from Adly Mansour is scheduled for 11:30 PM, while the final Arts and Culture service will be at 11:05 PM.
These times apply to all days from April 9th to April 14th inclusive, with the final trains timed to cross over at exchange stations to allow passengers to change lines in order to reach their destination.
