Cairo International Airport Launches AI-Powered 'Ask Mariam' Service
Cairo International Airport unveils ‘Ask Mariam,’ a data-driven AI assistant available across smart kiosks and mobile devices as part of its shift toward fully digital and smart airport operations.

Cairo International Airport has rolled out ‘Ask Mariam', a new AI-powered interactive service designed to assist passengers in real time, following longer-term efforts to modernise airport operations. Developed in collaboration with the Egyptian Company for Airports and Air Navigation, ‘Ask Mariam’ offers instant responses to traveller queries covering flights, check-in, airport facilities, transportation options, and nearby tourist attractions. The service is accessible via smart kiosks and dedicated digital touchpoints throughout the airport. According to Chairman Ayman Ezzat, the initiative is a key component of the civil aviation ministry's plan to transform Egypt’s airports into smart hubs aligned with international standards. The technology will be extended to other airports in the country, beginning with Sphinx International Airport, ahead of the opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum.
