American University of Sharjah Approves Three New Graduate Programmes

The Board of Trustees of the American University of Sharjah has approved three new graduate programmes during a meeting held on campus in Sharjah: a Master of Science in Data Analytics Engineering, a Master of Science in Environmental Sustainability and Management, and a Master of Fine Arts in Trans-Disciplinary Design.
The additions expand the university’s graduate portfolio in high-demand disciplines spanning data science, environmental management and multidisciplinary design. The programmes are structured to equip students with advanced technical, analytical and creative skills aligned with evolving industry requirements across technology, sustainability and the creative sectors.
The meeting, chaired by Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, also reviewed strategic priorities aimed at strengthening governance frameworks and reinforcing long-term institutional resilience. The university confirmed that the expansion forms part of a broader effort to position AUS to anticipate structural and market shifts through risk-informed planning and operational partnerships.
Alongside the academic approvals, the board endorsed audited financial statements for fiscal year 2024–2025 and approved tuition and fees for the 2026–2027 academic year. Trustees also adopted a university-wide Risk Management Framework designed to embed structured risk assessment into governance and operational processes.
A facilities management joint venture with Farnek Services LLC was approved to enhance operational efficiency and campus services.
