Abu Dhabi Private Schools to Display Performance Plaques
These plaques aim to improve transparency and help parents make more informed decisions about their children’s education by publicly displaying each school’s official ratings.

The Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK) has introduced School Performance Plaques across private schools in the emirate. These plaques aim to improve transparency and help parents make more informed decisions about their children’s education by publicly displaying each school’s official ratings.
Each plaque features scores from two key inspection frameworks. The first is Irtiqaa, which evaluates academic performance, teaching quality, student development, and leadership under the UAE Unified School Inspection Framework. The second is the National Identity Mark, which measures how well schools promote Arabic language, UAE heritage, national values, and citizenship among students.
By making this information clearly visible at school entrances, ADEK aims to increase community awareness, drive school accountability, and promote continuous improvement across the education sector.
