A Beaver Moon will illuminate Dubai’s night sky on Wednesday, November 5th, 2025, marking the final supermoon of the year. Visible across the UAE, the lunar event will offer a brighter and larger-than-usual full moon as it reaches its closest point to Earth.
The Beaver Moon name originates from North American tradition, referring to the time of year when beavers retreat to their lodges after storing food for the winter. Other historical names include the 'Deer Rutting Moon,' 'Digging Moon,' and 'Frost Moon'.
For the best views, head to open-sky spots such as Al Barsha Pond Park, Al Qudra Lakes, Kite Beach, Jebel Ali Beach, Hatta in the Hajar Mountains, or The Viewing Point at Dubai Creek Harbour. Stargazers venturing further afield can visit the Al Quaa Milky Way Spot in Abu Dhabi—one of the country’s darkest skies for an uninterrupted lunar spectacle.
