CargoX Raises $250 Million for Autonomous Delivery Expansion in UAE
The funding will support the rollout of driverless logistics operations across Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
Driverless delivery vehicles have already been piloted on public roads in the UAE; now CargoX, a UAE-based autonomous logistics startup, has raised $250 million in a funding round led by BlueFive Capital to support the expansion of its driverless delivery network across the UAE and international markets.
The company deploys autonomous vehicles across last-mile, middle-mile and long-haul logistics routes, and expects commercial operations to begin shortly in Abu Dhabi and Dubai following pilot programmes on public roads.
According to the company, the funding will be used to expand its logistics network, invest in vehicle technology and operations infrastructure, and develop strategic partnerships supporting future growth.
CargoX has established relationships with e-commerce, retail and logistics operators and has engaged with government entities including Abu Dhabi Mobility and Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority as part of its deployment plans.
The company will be led by Tomaso Rodriguez, who previously served as chief executive of Talabat and oversaw the company's growth and public listing in 2024.
The investment comes as autonomous vehicle technologies continue to move from pilot testing to commercial deployment across logistics networks in the Gulf region.
The funding round was led by BlueFive Capital, an investment firm managing approximately $15 billion in assets. The firm operates from multiple international offices, including Abu Dhabi, Riyadh, London, Singapore and Beijing, and invests across sectors including private equity, infrastructure and real estate.
