'Adam Henein: A Dialogue With Time' Memorialises the Iconic Sculptor

Six years after the passing of celebrated Egyptian sculptor and painter Adam Henein, the Adam Henein Foundation for Fine Arts has released a new documentary honouring his legacy.

The film, ‘Adam Henein… A Dialogue with Time’, was shared across social media to mark the anniversary of his death on May 22nd.

Henein left an indelible mark on the art world — most notably through his restoration of the Great Sphinx of Giza and his far-reaching influence on modernist sculpture across the Arab world.

The documentary pays tribute to this legacy by tracing the journeys of both Henein and the former Egyptian Minister of Culture and fellow artist Farouk Hosny. At the heart of the film is the deep friendship between the two men.

Hosny reflects candidly on their shared projects, creative exchanges, and personal memories — offering an intimate portrait of Henein that goes beyond his public achievements.

The documentary also draws attention to a newly released book, ‘Papyrus’, a publication born from a collaboration between the Adam Henein Foundation, Zaytouna Publishing's Sherif El-Borai, and the Commercial International Bank.

The film, produced by Adam Henein Foundation for Fine Arts, was overseen by Inas Louka, written by Mai Selim, filmed by George Fakhry, edited by Dalia Sadeq, and directed by Mohamed Reda.

‘Adam Henein… A Dialogue with Time’ is available to view via the foundation's official social media channels and the personal page of Farouk Hosny.
