Egyptian artist ABU has claimed a hat trick of prizes at the Global Music Awards (GMA) for his track ‘The World is Blind’, an advocacy song dedicated to Palestine. The track won awards for ‘Best Male Vocal’, ‘Protest Song’ and ‘Best Composition’.
Serving as a call to humanity, ‘The World Is Blind’ is written and composed by Dr. Tarek Nadim, featuring Mounir Maher on musical arrangements. The singer-songwriter and musician originally debuted the song in a live performance at the 6th edition of El Gouna Film Festival in late 2023.
